Inspired by the song 'Saint Bernard'

Osamu hated dogs, there were reasons why. Was it because he was one himself? A dog to the Port Mafia. A dog to Mori? Not everyone likes their reflection, he didn't either.

He was a dog, to Odasaku as well. Who would tell him that in the future, he'd mourn like an animal he hates.

The one thing Osamu and a dog had in common was that neither of them would be missed.

The Port Mafia wasn't a good place to be. The name 'Mafia' says it all. A child in the Port Mafia was worse. Especially for the unfortunate ones like Osamu himself. He was just a child, in the mafia. He couldn't tell if the organization was there to give him a reason to live, to make him feel human or torture him to his absolute demise.

That question would return once Osamu felt the thump in his heart again. Fear. He'd grown accustomed to that feeling, he hated it. The feeling was here again, all because he made a minor mistake. He felt like a dog fearing its punishment.

    A dog.

Osamu would find himself chained up in Mori's office, in front of the dogs the older man loved. They were mauling him while he watched. Every bite, every missing portion of skin, every bleed, he felt it all. He couldn't move, scream. He watched it. And hated it.

When Osamu was released from the torture, he was left to deal with it alone. Dragging himself to his shipping container was the best he could. The bleeding was major, he barely looked like a human. The dogs were merciless at him.

He somehow reached for the phone, called Odasaku. The man wouldn't pick up. Osamu felt like he was dying while he was slumped against the wall. He didn't know what to do. Shakily, he dialed another number.

A friend from outside the Port Mafia was the only one he could trust after Odasaku. He just prayed that they'd get the hint from the silence.

    Osamu really hated dogs.
