Peter Parker was generally a good kid. He got good grades, was always the top of his class, the sweetest kid anyone could ever meet, and was all in all a parent’s dream child.

Anyone around him could say he’d never hurt a fly—which for the most part wasn’t too far off. Even as Spider-Man he feels bad when he even knocks out a criminal.

So imagine your surprise when he gets into a fight at school with the school’s biggest asshole Flash Thompson. Flash has bullied Peter for years but for the first time Peter actually defended himself.

Granted, today was possibly the worst day to tease Peter because of the uncharacteristically bad mood he’s been in for a few days but who knew he’d snap like that?

Peter was seen as a relatively “weak” nerd so to see him give Flash a black eye and bloody nose while walking away unscathed was definitely a big surprise to those unaware about his secret identity.
