Penny was sitting under a tree reading a book. She loves to read, even if it's hard to scrounge up the money between this and tutoring. She sighs as she closes the book.

Penny: "They all get such happy endings. Maybe I can build a family like this one day." She looks down at the ground, her gaze becoming more hurt. "But the families in these books make it through the obstacles. They aren't short a father... they don't live in trailers with drunk mothers." She looks up at the free sky.
