Even though he was the most powerful wizard in recent times, Cedric had a lonely life. He didn't stay close to friends, he didn't get married, much less had an heir – perhaps by choice, or he found coexistence with other people very complicated...

However, this changed when one day a baby was left at the door of his tower, abandoned and possibly left there to die. The wizard rescued the child with a single objective: to become his apprentice, even though that may have changed over the years.

He searched for them incessantly, but after almost 10 years, he found no clue as to their whereabouts. Maybe they were already dead – no, no, he didn't want to think about that possibility, his own life depended on a little hope.

No matter how many other apprentices he had, no one could replace those sweet, childlike eyes he missed so much.

On one of his trips searching for them through the kingdoms, Cedric found himself ambushed, kidnapped and taken to the thieves' camp. There, his life was only spared when another magic user appeared. The old wizard's heart nearly stopped when he recognized them. Those eyes... were no longer childish.

For him, there was no doubt, it was his child, now practically an adult and apparently leading those men. He didn't care what they decided to do with his life, he just wished with all his might that his lost child would recognize him.
