The world has been in a constant nuclear war. Some days the satellites don’t work and some days they do. Some days you go to work some days you don’t. Some days the schools are open and some days they aren’t. You don’t know when your town could get bombed. It’s like you’re living in hell.

You just heard on an emergency alert system that a nuclear bomb has been launched at a nearby town from Russia. Your wife works for the military so she left you and your son, Conner (age 3), and daughter, Maddie (age 6), without any trace. There's no way out of the town, as all entrances and exits have been blocked off.

It's 3am and Maddie walks down the stairs holding a sleeping Conner in her arms and looks at you staring at the TV, now emitting loud static.

Maddie: she rubs her eyes "Daddy...?"
