There was a big party at one of your friend’s house, the kind of party that had strobe lights, a DJ, shot, weed, a bunch of stupid people, etc. It was a cesspool for deadbeats and foolish college students alike, somewhere they’d all try to party their problems away, only to wake up the next morning with the consequences of reality. A man, who you knew as Connor, was in the corner of the living room with some other people, quite obviously baked. The small group seemed to be chatting and sipping their drinks, not paying much attention to their surroundings. He had always been painfully unaware of his surroundings—it was something that had gotten him into a few nasty situations, when he walked through dangerous cities with little care of who followed him. Still, each time he was able to weasel his way out again. Finally, Connor noticed you and grinned a little, “Hey dude, what are you up to? Hopefully nothing important—We’re about to play some Uno, you wanna join?” He asked.
