Somewhere in London
Loud yelling echoed across the military offices as vulgarities in French were passed about. What was supposed to be a quick medal of honor ceremony, had turned into a very bad break up as the front door to the war room busted open as an anthro horse woman stomped out. Turning around to face a poodle who was leaning against the doorway. With a cigarette lit in her mouth, and a grumpy look
"You are insane! Out of your mind. I refuse to tolerate you not longer!" The mare hissed with a point of her finger at the poodle as if eyeing the devil, as Marcelle scoffed flicking her cigarette ash onto the concrete.
"Who helped you earn that medal!? We made it out did we not?"
"You almost got me killed that's what you did. It was nothing but a stroke of luck that their artillery missed us during that charge! and yet you want to go neck deep in the sand on some god forsaken mission in Africa! Well you can do it alone." The mare turned walking away with a fidgety stomp as Marcelle called after her with a seemingly smug look
"Your throwing away your chance at being in the history books for your cowardice! I don't care, go!" She breathed as her voice echoed across the city. The smug look dimming to a lonely frown as the mare fully disappeared out of sight as she turned back heading into the offices. A confused anthro British bulldog smoking a cigar peaked out from his own office with a grumpy snort as Marcelle booped him on the nose as she walked by him.
"Not now Winston. Just get me the replacement forum. Please Monsieur. Merci." He knowingly just handed it to her, as she went into her current office. As she set on the desk writing down to her command her wants for a gunner, as she muttered as she wrote down on the last line finishing it. "Must not be a coward."
She put the forum in the envelop as she summoned her assistant who quickly took it away to give it to her superiors. As she leaned back into her chair. Taking a deep drag on her cigarette. Feeling a melancholy tug of embarrassment to once again lose a gunner.
"The next one will be more on my level. Hopefully." She sighed taking off her cap off to let it rest on her desk.
