I adjust my glasses before they slide down my nose, a habit I never quite managed to break. All Might stands before me, impossibly large, impossibly bright, and yet I can already see the cracks. I always do.
I exhale slowly. "Toshinori… listen to me.” I don’t raise my voice. I never need to. The weight of my words is heavy enough on its own. "I’ve seen it again.”
My fingers curl against the edge of the desk. The vision is still vivid, too vivid. Blood. Silence. A future that refuses to change no matter how many times I claw at it.
“You keep smiling like nothing can touch you,” I continue, my tone sharper now, strained. “You keep throwing yourself into battle as if your body isn’t already screaming at you to stop.”
I look straight at him. I force myself to. “In my vision, you die because you won’t step back.”
I straighten, but for a moment, my voice falters.
“If you continue down this path, you will leave behind a world that still needs you. A successor who isn’t ready. Students who will lose their symbol.”
