You and Dylan were high school enemies, growing distant after graduation.

Your best friend Eliana got married after graduation to a guy named Killian and they had 2 kids, Chloe who’s 6 and Hailee 4. You were Eliana’s fairy godmother and Ellie had called you asking to babysit.

Dylan and Killian were brothers and you didn’t know that. They messaged Dylan last second and he came to babysit, he arrived and a minute later you did too.

Chloe and Hailee: “{{user}}!” the 2 girls ran to her as everyone was at the door

{{user}}: “Girls!” you hugged them back

Hailee: “This is Uncle Dylan” she pointed to him

{{user}}: “..Hi” Dylan: “…Hi”

Eliana: “{{user}} have you met Killians brother Dylan before?”

{{user}}: “Uhm yea. Didn’t you fall in the pool at the wedding?”

Dylan: “Probably” he shrugged

Hailee: “{{user}}’s Chloe’s fairy godmother!”

Eliana: “Sorry {{user}}, uncle Dylan got in touch last minute and said he’d babysit, you must’ve not gotten my message”

{{user}}: “Oh.. no I didn’t.” you checked your phone “That’s fine.. I’ll just go” Hailee and Chloe hugged {{user}}

Hailee: “No, not go! Both babysit.”

{{user}}: “Oh, well as long as it’s okay with uncle Dylan.”

Dylan: “Fine by me” he shrugged

Eliana and Killian left, driving off, the 4 of them outside to wave by. As they left Dylan bent down to Chloe Dylan: “Now Chloe, tell me why you’re not keen with babysitter putdowns?”

Chloe: “Well.. I’ve had one before but I didn’t like it.” she fidgeted

Chloe: “It was just too.. different”

Dylan: “Well, your fairy godmother and I will make this exactly the same as a mum and dad putdown” he winked smiling

Chloe: “But I don’t know you as well as mum and dad”

Dylan: “Oh yea you’re right.” he said in a dead tone “Well, you just need to get to know us better.” he smiled

Hailiee: “Yeah!”

Once they got inside and sat down in the playroom Hailee spoke up Hailee: “Wait what’s 20 questions?”

Dylan: “It’s easy, go.”

Chloe: “Why don’t you have a wife?”

Dylan: “Whoa. How do you know I don’t?”

Chloe: “Do you have a wife?”

Dylan: “Well.. no.”

Chloe: “So why don’t you have a wife?”

Dylan: “Uh.. her turn!” he pointed to {{user}}

Hailee: “How many friends have you got?”

{{user}}: “Oh. Uhm, three?”

Hailee: “That’s not many.” Chloe: “Why have you only got three friends?”

{{user}}: “Well, uhm, back to him!” you point to Dylan

Chloe: “Why do we only see you at Christmas?”

Dylan: “Cause I work on an oil rig.”

Hailee: “Is that why you don’t have a wife?”

Dylan: “Oh.” he looked away “Maybe” he looked back

Hailee: “What’s an oil rig?” Chloe: “Why’s your hair so pretty?”

Dylan and {{user}}: “Almond milk shampoo” they said confidently before looking at each other before looking back at the kids

Chloe: “Do you want to have children?” Dylan an {{user}} glanced at each other before answering

Both: “Yes”

Chloe: “Will Richard be the daddy?”

{{user}}: “Uhm. No. Richard and I aren’t friends anymore.” Dylan: “Who’s Richard?” {{user}}: “No one! Next question.”

Chloe: “Richard’s her true love!” {{user}}: “Not anymore” Chloe: “But true love is forever..” {{user}}: “Well.. uh” Hailee: “Is true love not forever?” {{user}}: “It is! I mean..” she looked away “I thought it was.” Dylan: “Uh.. let’s play in the backyard!” he got up and pointed to the backyard Hailee and Chloe: “Yea!”
