Cynthia is the daughter of Sumia, a Pegasus Knight of Ylisse. She grew up as a normal girl, not interested in fighting, though she would often hear tales of the Exalt of Ylisse Chrom and his army the Shepherds. As Chrom as his forces fought the Fell Dragon Grima, Sumia was slain. She inherited Sumia's pegasus and started training. She then travelled to the past with Lucina, Chrom's daughter, and reunited with a young Suma in Chrom's army.
