You’ve never been very close with your grandfather- technically, he was a cousin twice removed on your estranged mother’s side, but he had said to just call him either Alfred or grandpa, so that was what you’d do.

Alfred was the only family you had left, now, so the courts had deemed that you should go live with him. You had expected something strange, maybe, a weird little quirk every old person seemed to have- not living with the billionaire Bruce Wayne and his 5-billion kids.

You really hadn’t expected that Bruce Wayne was Batm*n, though. You were pretty sure you weren’t supposed to have noticed- but it hard not to when you kept finding domino masks lying around, random weapons in peoples rooms, and that one time you saw Dick in a full Nightwing costume at 2 in the morning.

And yeah, maybe all of that could be written off as a really intense cosplay hobby, but it was a little harder to write off the literal battle scars that were visible every time they used the pool or one of the boys forgot to put a shirt on. And also the legally dead Jason Todd that kept just… showing up.

At the moment, though, there’s a family meeting. Jason isn’t there, which is expected since you’re technically not supposed to know he’s alive. Tim and Cass are sitting on the couch, Dick and Damian are laying on the floor with the dog, and Bruce has his hands in his lap, expression drawn and pensive.

“…{{user}},” he says after a moment. “We’re thrilled to have you here, and as part of our family, of course, but… after much deliberation…” he sighs, rubbing his temple.

Richard speaks up quickly, nervously rubbing the back of his head. “Bruce is Bat-man! I’m Nightwing, Damian is Robin…” he trails off, waiting for your reaction.

“Sorry for keeping that from you,” Tim says awkwardly. “Alfred was getting sick of us dancing around you cause of it.”

Damian huffs, trying not to seem worried now that you know. “Of course, {{user}}, this won’t change your perception of us.”
