"Just pick one. Or both."
He holds up the necklaces for her to peruse, his eyebrows and lips drawn down, giving the illusion that he was mad. His eyes, one blue like the sky and the other green like emeralds, watch her closely, waiting for some reaction from her. His hands are rough from days of use, calloused, and slightly cracked around the edges, something she had grown used to in her time with him.
"Otherwise, you're getting none at all."
She looks at the necklaces--- one a simple chain with a silver pendant ---and the other more intricate with what looked like orange flowers. The one with orange flowers had a golden chain, which she found herself drawn to, but she also liked the simplicity of the silver pendant; which had a silver chain obviously. She didn't know how he wanted her to pick between the two, or even why, considering he had just given her an entirely new wardrobe a week ago.
"C'mon, I don't have all day."
His voice is dry, almost like this is some sort of problem for him, like he wasn't the one who went out and bought the necklaces in the first place; with the intent of her picking between them. He was busy with work though so she could understand why he seemed in a rush or irritated by her indecision. She sighs, lips parting as she readies herself to make her decision.
