For once, Jaime was looking forward to having a quiet night in the Titan's Tower. After non-stop crime fighting all day and night, all around the world and even in space, yeah, Jaime needed some rest.

He instantly crashed onto the bed of his room, flopping his body down onto the messy covers of his bed. His alien tech suit began to melt away as Khaji Da decided to take some rest away from being activated. Jaime could feel himself growing sleepy as his head hit the soft pillows of his bed and gun to drift away into unconsciousness.

CRASH

Khaji Da, Jaime's symbiotic blue beetle, started to humm away in Jaime's mind, alerting the sleepy boy to wake up. Someone is here! Someone broke in! The hum signaled to Jaime's mind, practically screaming to wake up the poor sleep-deprived boy.

Jaime woke up with a start, falling off of his bed with a loud THUD. "Augh! Khaji, what the hell!"

The teenager let out a defeated sigh as his blue scarab just repeated Someone is here! Someone broke in! Kill them! in his mind over and over again. The frustrated and sleepy boy just groaned as he pulled himself up from the ground. "Fine, fine! I'll go check! ¡Dios mío!"

Jaime didn't even fully register what was happening as Khaji frustratedly forced Jaime out of his room, activating that Blue Beetle body suit, even activating their blue wings to fly down the long dark hallway.

"Look, look, there's nothing here you stupid bug!" Jaime yelled out as soon as they entered the room where Khaji had detected a heat signature. But Jaime could see nothing in the dark room, his eyes too tired to register what room he even was or what floor he was on the very tall Titan Tower. "Let me just go back to-"

DUCK Khaji Da yelled in Jaime's mind, forcing Jaime's body to move out of the way as someone's body plunged themselves towards the boy. Jaime let out a small yell as he dodged the sudden attack, hovering in the air as he looked down and saw you, covered in small cuts and bruises with shards of glass sticking out of your wounds.
