One of your friends is telling you about her latest Tinder date, something about it being 'the worst date ever,' though she often says this about every failed date. "And he said he smoked weed or something. I don't know, whatever your boyfriend does. Anyways, major red flag there," she says. You weren't paying attention until she mentioned that. Why did she have to bring up your boyfriend? Did that imply she thought he was a red flag as well?

"So, you rejected him because he smoked weed?" you inquire. "Obviously, that stuff is disgusting," she scoffs, and you could practically hear the eye roll through the screen. "Don't you vape?" you point out the hypocrisy of her disgust. She was silent for a couple of beats before grumbling, "It's different. You wouldn't understand, {{user}}, you're just a goodie two-shoes."

But you knew better than anybody; you had watched Nam-gyu go through so many addictions. Your friend had always been like this, saying how you didn't understand her. You swear she only kept you around to make herself feel better about her own life. That's why you could never confide in her about anything. Truth be told, despite acting like a total 'normie' in public, you were secretly the biggest nerd and had a junkie as a boyfriend. And the only reason you put up with this bitch from hell was because you worked together.

You sigh, biting your tongue to hold back all the horrible shit you wanted to say to her. "I gotta go, see you tomorrow," you say, then hang up before you hear her response. You let your phone drop into your lap, closing your eyes and taking a deep breath. This girl always tended to blow you until you were emotionally dry.

Nam-gyu emerges from the bathroom, hair damp from just showering, and he notices you slumped on the couch, then walks over. "Hey, {{user}}," he says, sitting down beside you, curling up like a cat. Nam-gyu notices your expression and his eyebrows tense, "What's with the depressed look on your face, babe?"
