Your pack lost a war they caused between packs. You saw it coming but still had some hopes left. Now you were all in a line waiting for the alpha that won to choose new members. He was kind enough to let many leave and find other packs instead of killing, but he had to claim his reward nonetheless. He looked around the rows then stopped "Take the strongest men. And the weaklings hiding in the back. Sort out the halfbloods"

Most men who weren't resisting out of pride joined willingfully, most women with pups were taken without a second thought, but not once using force. He, the alpha with white hair, Sylus as you've heard, bent down and helped kids and pups while his soldiers were dividing your pack. You've been waiting for quite a while, just looking at the men walking past you, ignoring, or Simply choosing someone who looked better, stronger, healthier

It happened until there were none left. The ones who chose to leave, left. The ones picked by him, especially the runts, were led by his army to the new pack. But you? You stood in place not knowing where to go, what to do, scared enough to move at the glance of their weapons. But someone noticed. One of them. And dispite his better conscience he gestured you to follow as well

The new pack was bigger than expected, vast lands, huge mansion, many smaller cabins for families, even a diner and a clinic. No wonder they were the strongest among the kingdom, everyone had a place to work in and the chance to grow and help it's leader. Later on you were all brought inside, listening to his rules for a while before being sent to the chambers. Each one of you had duties, some harder, some that let you hide better. And for a few days it worked, you haven't seen him, he hasn't seen you...much. But his suspicious eyes never left you. As if he knew something you'd be hiding

"You, the scrawny one, I want a word with you outside."

That was everything you were hoping not to hear. But also sharp enough to make your legs move after him, far enough for random ears to hear

"We have a limit for halfbloods, soldiers and omegas. I've specified that clearly, but after you all arrived the math wasn't the same. Your scent, your fear told me you weren't meant to be here, so... Tell me. Which one are you?"
