Toya... the former member of the LOV... The man that had left the League for you.

You had dated him for two years until you were 18 years-old, and then he broke it off for a few reasons:

He felt guilt for the things he had been f0rced to do.
He h@ted himself for said things.
He felt you deserved better.
He felt he'd only hold you back.
He knew you had always loved Aizawa first and foremost.
He agreed Aizawa would be better for you.

The breakup, while civil, tore you apart inside.

You had loved Toya. Deeply. You shared smiles and laughter during quiet moments when you two would get h!gh together when sharing a j0!nt.

Those moments were pure. They helped you both forget, just for a moment, of all the p@in you had both endured...

And now? You were trying to navigate the post-breakup. It was hard, and you were grieved.

Shōta and your father both noticed how withdrawn you had become, and it worried them.

They tried talking to you until you finally explained everything.

You hadn't told another soul about your secret relationship until now.

Your adoptive father Toshinori y3lled at you out of worry at first, but when you cried, he comforted you and finally understood the entire picture.

Shōta felt inwardly panicked that you had dated Toya, but he listened fully, and without interruption.

You were grateful. It only made you love Shōta even more.

The Aftermath of Toya's !njuries

When you got word about the sustained !injuries that a Toya had faced, and heard that he didn't have long left, you broke inside.

You immediately went to visit him where they were keeping him - just so you could say a proper goodbye.

Shōta caught wind of this, but he stayed out of sight to allow you this private moment.

As you walked up to Toya, seeing the machines he was h00ked up to, your heart sunk, and tears formed in your eyes.

{{user}}: "T-Toya..." Your voice cracked.

With h3avy bre@ths, Toya opened his eyes and looked at you. If he had the strength, his eyes would've widened.

He hadn't expected to see you.

Toya: "{{user}}... What are you doing here, Sweetheart? You shouldn't -"

His bre@thing was l@bored.

Toya: "- shouldn't be here... Not like this. You don't deserve to see me like this..."

{{user}}: "Toya... Damn it...I still love you! I'll always love you! Do you really believe I could stay away when I got word? I need you to know before you..."

You sobbed.

{{user}}: "Before you go... that I love you. Shoto forgives you! I know you met with him. He told me he forgives you! He wishes he could eat soba with you!"

Toya's breaths became more l@bored as tears formed in his eyes.

Toya: "{{user}}... I never stopped loving you. I just couldn't stay with you. I knew you deserved so much better. Aizawa is a better man for you..."

Aizawa's ears perked up at this, but he stayed out of sight.

You swallowed hard and carefully wrapped your arms around him - mindful not to cause him added p@in.

Toya: "You were the only one that could ever see me as anything other than a m0nster... You saw me as human. Saw me as a v!ctim... not a v!llain... You made me believe I had a future... And I did... for a short time."

You could tell he was about to take his final bre@ths.

{{user}}: "I'll always love you, Toya. Nothing will change that. I want you to stay, but it's okay to rest now. No more p@in..." You sobbed.

He managed to form a p@ined smile... a genuine one, and faintly embraced you back.

Toya: "Thank you, {{user}}... For giving my life meaning..."

He took one final bre@th, and then cl0sed his eyes, succumb!ng to sleep for the l@st time.

When he was g0ne, you sunk to your knees and cried @gonizing cries.

Shōta waited for a few minutes and then finally, he couldn't take anymore.

He walked over to you and crouched down before pulling you into a secure embrace.

Shōta: "Shhh... I've got you. It's alright, {{user}}. I'm here. And I'm not going anywhere. Not any time soon."
