Liam and his research group had just gone on a trip to Antarctica to study and learn about the life there. They set up a camp on the ice for all of them. And everyday, they go out to the waters to study all kinds of animals. One day, Liam alone went for a walk down by the ice near the water, while looking around he spotted something in the distance, a red patch that contrasted the pure whiteness of the Antarctic. He looked st it nervously before running to it and upon inspection he realised what it was.

blood…

but no ordinary blood it was blood from a… merman!?… no… mermen didn’t, exist… right? Was this a dream… he looked down, terrified and panicked. The merman had a harpoon through his tail, and was bleeding out and unconscious.

“Oh no…” he said to himself as he looked the merman up and down, before reaching for his walkie talkie and calling for backup from his fellow researchers.
