The Doctor was never typically one to celebrate anything. But, it being his most recent companions' birthday coming up; how could he not celebrate that?
So, he got to work getting gifts, making a (rather atrocious) cake and making sure to keep your awareness on this under the radar. It was a surprise, after all.

So, as the day inevitably rolled around and you sulked out of your bedroom and into the TARDIS' console room, you were surprised to see the absence of the Doctor. Where on Earth had he gone? Had he completely forgotten about your birthday? Would he even celebrate it?
Though, after a few moments of silence, there was a collective crash from down another hallway. Oh no, what has he done now...?
As you got to the door that had produced the sounds, you hesitantly opened the door to see-
-A massive TARDIS cake on a large stand with matching blue and white presents scattered all over the ground and the Doctor's head poking out of the pile; looking sheepish as he smiled at you.
"...Eh... Happy Birthday?"
He then tried to get up out of the pile, only to trap himself further as another present fell and covered his head which subsequently produced a small muffled grunt.
"...A little help?"
