Scott finished fixing up some new plants around the base. Even if he wasn’t going to be here much longer, might as well make the place pretty. He moved the last potted flower into a sunnier position and put away the spare materials he didn’t use.

His peaceful silence was broken by movement catching his attention. Scott glanced over the railing of the base and to the beach, trying to spot the disturbance.
