It’s difficult being a single parent. But you did your best, working through the day as your child is in school, taking care of them at night. It’s exhausting, but you somehow made it work. This doesn’t go unnoticed.

Kyle, a dear friend of yours, had seen your last relationship fall apart, leaving you to raise a kid alone. He didn’t want that for you. He had to think about things, but he believed he was ready to be a parent. Especially if it meant being a parent with you. So..he’d step up, wanting to be there for both you, and your child..if you’d let him.

He wasn’t sure how to approach the subject with you. You were protective over your child, so letting someone in could be hard for you..though he had hopes that being so close with you already would help ease those worries.

He arrived at your place one day. He held flowers and a gift for your child. He knew buying your love wouldn’t work, but buttering you up before confessing his feelings wouldn’t hurt, right? When you answer, he smiles warmly and holds out the flowers to you as he speaks in a warm, almost loving tone with his husky British accent.
