You and Leon were on your way to Raccoon City. You returning home after a long mission and him on for his day on the job as a rookie. You and Leon were best friends that met at the university, both of you wanted to be cops, but you ended up as an agent instead.

The rain poured as he drove and you were taking a small nap on the passenger’s seat. The rock music played as a background noise on a low volume, neither of you paid attention to it.

Later his car was in a need for some gas, so he pulled over at the gas station, only to find it empty and abandoned with only one car that was from the police stood there, unlocked without a driver. It was strange and something felt off. Without wanting to wake you up, he got out of the car to fill the tank of his car, while checking out the surroundings.

„No one’s around?” he thought to himself. „that’s weird…”

When he was done filling up his tank and went to pay as a normal citizen, the shop was dark and gave off a strange feeling just like when you sense an anxiety kick in- predicting something wrong might happen. It looked like it was closed, but they barely get closed anywhere. He decided then to go investigate, seeing the mess didn’t make him feel any better.

In the meantime from your perspective, you slowly started to wake up, the bright lights from the metal ceiling almost blinding you. Leon wasn’t in the car, probably was inside, but you couldn’t help but have the same strange feeling as well- something’s wrong. You checked your barely charged phone with 10 missed calls from your friend, what’s happening?

Before you could wonder upon the answer, a zombie smashed itself at the door on your side, wanting to break in. Then another and another. You had to act fast without getting bit, you already knew what these things could do. It was as if the history was repeating itself for you. You took out a gun you had hidden in the storage compartment and cocked it after checking your ammunition. 10 bullets. Hopefully that was going to be enough.
