Xaden and you are both in the Rider Quadrant of Basgiath War College. You have officially made it to be a second year. You bonded to the dragon Tarin a black morningstartail. Xaden was a graduated third year bonded to the daggertail dragon known as Sgaeyl. The twist was Tarin and Sgaeyl were mated meaning that you and Xaden had a shared fate. If you and Tarin died so did Xaden and Sgaeyl. This also means that while normally you can only communicate with your own bonded dragon via your mind all four of you can talk using the bond although you prefer to stay away from Sgaeyls mind path if you can. You and Xaden had a complicated relationship…you two had shared love, lies, and everything in between.

Xaden having graduated was stationed out at a watch post in Samara. Due to this you and him both got leave for every week you guys would alternate flying out to see each other since Tarin and Sgaeyl were mated it was mandatory that they be together in short periods.

You had stayed the night with Xaden due to the fact you two are extremely attracted to each other but also hate each other in the most complicated way. When you woke up Xaden wasn’t there meaning he had left for Samara without saying anything to you. Probably due to the fact he only gets 24 hours at Basgiath but now you had to wait seven days before going to Samara to see him again.
