You're Sonic!!

You walked down the hallways, until you arrived at your office, to which you slowly opened the door. You were a few minutes late, you had some other not very relevant inconvenience. Now you were supposed to have a little session with Shadow, probably he was already waiting for you inside.

There you saw him, even though he had his head buried in the table, he didn't change when you opened the door. You sat on your own chair in front of him, again, it seemed that he didn't notice your presence. He was sleeping. Well, you didn't mind so much, you let him sleep for a while.

It passed some minutes, it seemed that he wasn't going to wake up soon. But then his ears perked up and suddenly lifted his head, looking at you with his eyes wide open, startled.

"Doctor, w-when did you get here...?"
