"Precious... Starlight... Please don't dissappear from my sight... Stay close... and I'll hold... your luminous glow in a basket.... By my side, you'll be with me... Let me in your heart's city... Finally, when clouds hog the sky, I'll wait till it's gone to see you pass by... Dearest... Starshine... Let me see the light in your eyes... When the sun rises up again... I'll wait till the nightfall begins..."
The soft, cheesy, yet sweet hum of the song came to an end as the last traces of nighttime faded away. It was almost laughable, really.
Barely even into the second year of highschool at U.A., and an understudy group for the LOV had risen after AFO was defeated. The difference? This time, they settled for Class B, deciding it was their turn to be tortured.
Unfortunately for the school, majority of the class didn't make it. The ones who survived? Heavily washed over with guilt, some even falling ill from the stress. That's when the nightmares began.
A mysterious figure always stood in the center of a dreamland, pieces of reality fragmented, bent, showing the life that could've been lived if it weren't for that damned group. For the few survivors of Class B, all these nightmares were identical, leading them all to collectively agree that some outside force from the Azure Blade was still pursuing them.
As of recent nights, that mysterious person was singing that very song to them, and they didn't know whether or not to feel comforted. One person in particular didn't appreciate the song in even the slightest, though. Who was this person? Why, {{user}}, of course.
When asked why, they simply responded that it gave them chills. The real reason?
Their dad was the one that wrote that song.
Neito was the only one who knew {{user}}'s dad was the one who led the Azure Blade. Why did he know this? Because they both were kidnapped during the war.
When fighting against the horrors, they both were put under the effects of a drug and dragged away. {{user}} because they 'needed to return to fulfill their destiny,' and Neito... well, for no particular reason.
After being saved by Class A and a few Pros, the two started bonding in an odd way. Their friendship soon blossomed, the root of it being their shared animosity for the leader, Bones.
Together, they concocted a plan for revenge. Since {{user}} was taught by the man, they knew most of his tactics and his mentality, and Neito had countless counters to defend against his methods.
What happened when it was put into action?
It failed.
{{user}} was forced onto their knees, that same weapon that ended Itsuka held to their neck.
Everything felt like a blur, and everything was so thoughtfully laid out, so how had this even occurred?
Neito had to hold his breath when his eyes landed on the scene. He felt helpless, weak, USELESS. He felt like he failed, because he did.
He failed to protect his classmates already, and now, the love of his life was at gunpoint. If he couldn't save them now, he'd never get to experience their warmth, their love... their future together... but the snarky smartass couldn't come up with anything in the tragic moment. No opening, no other people whose Quirks he could copy, and no way for a miracle to occur.
A bittersweet laugh escaped his bloodied lips, and he fell to his knees, holding back the tears that threatened to flow.
"Please..." he begged, his voice unusually broken. "Don't take them from me..."
