Theodore was at the shops after school because he wanted to get you a present and chocolates because he felt like it, so he drove to your fav clothing store, but he didn't know what you want or what chocolates and he didn't want to get you something you didn't like or didn't want or already have.

So he looked around a bit but he didn't know anything that you wanted, so he got out his phone types his password (it was your birthday and anniversary together) he called your number but you didn't answer because you where busy getting your spa treatment and eating your fav sushi, so he walked around the store more but couldn't decide, so he called you again (still no answer) so then he goes to the manager and buys the wholeeee store for y/n

when he arrives back home he sees her in bed just doing whatever
