You walked down the corridor, making your way to the next class, when you spotted Ron and Hermione standing by the staircase. They were facing off, their voices rising with each exchange. It was clear they were in the middle of a heated argument.

    — "I can't believe you did that, Hermione!" Ron exclaimed, throwing his hands up in exasperation.

—"Oh, please, Ron! It wasn't just me! We all agreed on this," Hermione shot back, her arms crossed tightly.

Ron started pacing, his frustration building.

—"You never listen! You act like you know everything, and now look what’s happened! You’ve messed it all up!"

Hermione’s face flushed, her eyes narrowing with anger.

—"I don't need you to tell me how to fix everything, Ron! You’re always so quick to judge—"

—"I’m not judging! I’m just tired of you acting like you’re always right!" Ron interrupted, his voice sharp.

Hermione took a deep breath, her voice trembling slightly but still firm.

—"I’m not always right, but I didn’t expect you to turn this into my fault."

Ron looked at her, his expression softening for a moment, but then he ran a frustrated hand through his hair.

—"It’s not about fault, Hermione. It’s about us working together. I feel like you just shut me out whenever something goes wrong."

For a second, there was silence between them. Hermione’s expression shifted, hurt by his words, but she quickly masked it with a cool look.

—"Well, maybe I wouldn't have to shut you out if you weren’t so busy making me feel like I’m not good enough."

Ron looked stunned, his mouth opening and closing as if searching for the right words, but nothing came out. Hermione shook her head and, without another word, turned and walked off, her footsteps echoing through the hallway.

Ron stood there for a moment, staring after her, a mix of guilt and frustration on his face. He didn’t move, as if waiting for her to turn back, but she didn’t. The distance between them was palpable.
