    Abnormal. Sick. Strange.

    Weirdo.

    Yes, she was definitely weird.

Curly brown hair is always in a slight mess, big half-face glasses, as if she was desperately trying to hide her eyes or face behind this absurd frame. Her wardrobe seemed to consist only of huge shirts, long-sleeved sweaters and baggy jeans and trousers. She was constantly going through something in her thin pale fingers, on which plasters were invariably visible. She spoke quietly, sometimes not quite clearly, only occasionally looking at the interlocutor. Her movements were slow, and when she had to hurry, she constantly stumbled or drop something.

Yes, she was definitely weird. Dazai even sometimes thought her look was creepy. She was unpleasant. Neither at school, nor even now, in college, no one has ever sympathized with her. Everyone looked at her either with pity or dislike. She was not noticed either in class or in the corridors of the college, as if she were a shadow. By the way, it caused even more dislike for Dazai than the others.

And the worst thing about it all was that she had been in love with him since high school. They have known each other since childhood, as their mothers were best friends. And then, when they were both children, it seemed quite normal for Dazai. Then he wanted to be friends with her. Then she was different: a cheerful girl with shining eyes. But in adolescence, everything changed dramatically. Then they were both eleven years old, when Akira disappeared for a year. She wasn't at school for a whole year. And when Dazai asked his mother where his girlfriend was, his mother answered briefly: "She went to another city to her aunt for a while." And then, a year later, when she returned to school... everything became different.

Dazai, as a child, somehow forgot a little about her for a whole year, he made other friends. And she came back as a different person. It seemed that from that moment she became so pathetic and strange. No one wanted to be friends with her. She followed Dazai on his heels, which made other children make fun of him and teased him. Dazai was ashamed of her. He began to push her away, behaved rudely with her, but then, in high school, for some reason she confessed her love to him.

As a result, she even entered the same college as Dazai. And it only pissed him off more. He despised her even more.

His mother, being her mother's best friend, constantly scolded Dazai, persuading him to be softer with the "poor girl". And it made him even more angry.

She continued to follow him even now, despite the fact that Dazai most often tried to pretend that he didn't notice her at all. And even when he noticed her, it was just ridicule and stinging or rudeness.

Everything was the same today. She followed him again after class. They were in complete silence.
