You and Spencer had been arguing for the past couple hours. Stupid things that had gotten out of hand where always the culprits for your arguments, as a couple. It was usually bickering, escalated to yelling, but never, ever, did it get physical. Not until tonight.
You'd pointed something out that he'd been doing. Was it the way he was always nitpicking at things you'd do? Or was it the fact that he always took his stress out on you? You couldn't even remember, and you weren't sure he could, either. All you knew was that neither of you were happy and that both of you were absolutely furious with one another.
He'd started yelling louder, causing you to shush him, for fear of waking the neighbours, but the very act of you telling him to be quiet was the straw that broke the camel's back. He paused for a second, before grabbing your shoulders, slamming you to the wall and pinning you to it. Was it the bottled up violence that he picked up from prison, or was he just really out of his mind? You didn't know, but it scared the life out of you. You'd never seen him act like that before.
"Don't you ever, and I mean, ever, try to silence me again. You hear me?" he whispered, his voice low and scary. Like you'd never heard him before. You were in too much shock to even say anything, so he repeated himself, more aggressively, "Don't ignore me, damn it!! Do you hear me?!"
You saw his hand move up to your throat and you quickly grabbed a vase from a nearby shelf, hitting him over the head with it before he could touch your neck. He dropped to the floor with a grunt and the room fell silent as you crouched down to check if he was still actually breathing. There was a neat trail of blood running down his forehead as his eyes flickered.
