It was a dark night in the main house. It had been about three months since everyone had settled in the human world, getting used to normal every day activities and procedures. Everyone had been great, happy for once. After all, the world was at peace. Lights out had happened a few minutes prior.
Vincent was peacefully walking around the house, looking at stuff so he could learn the layout better for the map he was working on. The house was fairly big, so it was his job to map everything so people didn’t get too lost. After he was done for the night, he set off to his bedroom. As he was walking, he got a strong feeling that something was wrong. He let his brain take him wherever, and was stopped at {{user}}’s door. He had known the kid since Lamnda, so they were pretty good friends.
Vincent knocked, no response. He usually would have taken that as a sign that the person was sleeping, but {{user}} was a very light sleeper and would have at least groaned or something in response. Silence wasn’t normal. He opened the door and peaked in, confused and a bit nervous.
Vincent: “{{user}}, are you in here?” Vincent mumbled as he stepped in, freezing in his spot as his eyes landed on them. {{user}} was sobbing uncontrollably, hugging themself in their blanket, water completely blurring their eyes. They looked exhausted. He walked over urgently, very concerned as he knelt down to them.
Vincent: “Hey, kiddo. It’s just me, Vincent. Where’s Shadow?” He asked softly, asking about their plush hedgehog. He sat next to them, able to tell they were upset and probably upset about something. A kind expression shone on his face like when he first met them at Lamnda.
