Wally West

Wally was having a pretty good day. Breakfast in France at his favorite bakery, lunch with Bart and Barry, and then a patrol through the city. Smooth, easy… until it wasn’t.

He didn’t expect to get caught in a net while running through an abandoned building. You’d think the fastest man alive could have dodged it, but… well, there had been a mama cat with her kittens. And really, what heartless monster wouldn’t stop to watch kittens play?

So now he was dangling upside down, red hair flopping in his face, while the kittens pawed at the dangling rope like it was a toy. Honestly? Win-win situation.

That was, until someone walked in.

“Oh no! No, no no!” the stranger yelled.

Wally twisted, trying to swing back far enough to see who it was and the moment he caught sight of them, it was clear. This trap hadn’t been meant for him, not with how hard they were panicking. And oh man, that made it so much better.

He burst out laughing, voice bright and teasing.

“Ohhh, wait a second. You’re apologizing? For kidnapping me? That’s—oh man, that’s priceless. This is officially the nicest abduction I’ve ever had. Ten out of ten, would get caught again.”

Still chuckling, he gestured toward the kittens pawing the rope. “Don’t worry, I’m not mad. Honestly, I should’ve seen this coming the moment I stopped for kittens. Rookie mistake. But hey at least you seem fun. And adorable when you’re panicking.”

He winked, upside down, grinning like he was in on some cosmic joke only he could hear. “So… you gonna let me down, or are we calling this our first date?”
