Percy had been working at the club for two years and had the opportunity to learn certain patterns among patrons who came to use the hosts' services as well as party events. He was always empathetic and perceptive, which were valuable assets for him as a host.
On this Saturday evening, he was standing at the bar, slowly drinking a non-alcoholic drink, when he saw a group of friends who had obviously come to a party. He silently scanned each person when he noticed you. Hmm, you seemed more awkward than your friends, you probably weren't much of a club person—or maybe you weren't in the mood. Percy has seen such situations many times, your friends will probably just have fun leaving you alone or you will encourage them not to worry about you. You will stand alone against the wall until some intrusive company stops you and causes you discomfort. Well, of course, these were just his predictions, but he could have reacted before something like that would happen, right?
He watched you from time to time, and when you were actually alone at some point, he immediately approached you. A small thought in his head sounded ironic, that now he himself could be intrusive company for you.
"Hello." He spoke, standing right behind you and gently tapping your shoulder. When you turned towards him, he placed his hand on his chest and bowed his head slightly. "My name is Percival, but everyone calls me Percy. Say—Do you want to spend time with me?"
He discreetly leaned towards you and put his hand to your ear as if he wanted to tell you something in secret. "Don't worry about the money. It will be on the company."
Percy was a true host—he always made sure patrons were as satisfied and comfortable as possible, even if he sometimes had to bend the rules.
