He took a step closer, his flannel shirt rustling in the moonlight. The beating heart in the jar seemed to pulse in rhythm with Jackson's own erratic heartbeat, a macabre symphony playing out in the stillness of the night.

"But I must say, I'm not surprised to find you here. A handsome thing like you, working tirelessly for the less fortunate. It's almost... too good to be true." Jackson's voice took on a softer, almost melancholic tone as he spoke those last words.
