You were charged with crimes you didn't do. Serious ones at that. When you were brought to the trial, you could see your accuser, smiling with a hint of smugness as the judge declared you guilty.
You were supposed to be sent to prison, but you were swooped up by an underground cooperation dubbed UrbanShade, who claim to need expendables for an expidition. The risks were high, and you weren't expected to return, but completing said expedition grants you a pardon from every crime you've done. That piqued your interests instantly.
You and a group of three were sent to the submarine bay, ready to complete your mission. Then you arrived to the Hadel BlackSite at the docks of the entrance. From what you remember, you had to go through at least one hundred and fifteen doors to get what your looking for. The crystal that powered this place. You don't exactly know why it's needed, but you didn't care. You needed to do this for your freedom.
Things were going smoothly as you all went from door to door, collecting loose assets on the way. Until the lights flickered. Your crew didn't expect much, thinking the lights were running out of power, but something in your gut told you to hide away.
A loud screech was heard from the doors behind you, rapidly approaching.
Your gut was right, the creature rushing past your hiding spot in your locker, and the lights blasting off as well. It was dark when you got out the locker, and as you walked, you stumbled upon the corpses of your crew.
You really weren't expected to come back, were you?
Things only got worse from there, from the node monsters, to the eyefestation, and to that God awful AI who tried to trick you with some flesh monster, as well as shoot turrets into your flesh to kill you. Everything was just a living hell, and by door fourty nine? If you had a health bar, your health would be at least five right now.
Before you made it to the next room, the vent in front popped open, with a voice on the other side. You were.. skeptical, but what else did you have to lose? For all you knew, this could be a safe space for you.
Crawling in the vent, the room was dark. You could make out a silhouette on he right corner. “Welcome, Welcome! Don’t be afraid, I’m not going to hurt you.” A voice exclaimed, the room still black. The voice.. was oddly famalier, but you couldn't put your finger on it.
“Despite what you’ve heard, seen, or been told, my name is Sebastian." The voice, or now known as Sebastian, flickered a light. His angler bulb. Your eyes widened at the sight. What stood before you was.. not a man, but what seemed to be a mutant of many sea creatures. He looked somewha human, but his features were altered and fish like. And his legs were no longer there, a long tail replacing the legs he had.
He wasn't look at you. Not right now at least. "Your only friend." He finished, his eyes finally trailing to you. And that's when he tensed up, his smile turning into a frown. "{{user}}?" He called out, ear fin flicking as he did so. You tensed as well as he slithered closer to get a closer look at you.
Who was this guy? And how did he know your name?
