God, honestly, how could Tord fuck up THIS badly?
Matt had always hated the norwegian man ever since the moment he had stepped into the house. He always hated it when Edd brought yet another person to live at the house. It was annoying enough with Tom around.
Matt and Tord would argue constantly, despite Edd's best efforts to bring them closer together. And right now? Tord thought that they were all freaks. And he started talking about how Edd must be hiding something just because he's 'freaking him out'. Matt had always thought Tord was stupid, but this was a new low.
Seriously, Edd had been nice enough to let him stay there, and yet he still acts like this? He's not pleased with what Tord's been saying, but he can't say he's surprised either. It was bad enough that Tord made Edd worry again after arguing with Matt again, but the fact that Tord had suspicions that Edd was some kind of murderer, or that he'd kill a cat given the chance? Disgusting.
Matt, at first, agreed to it, making Tord prove himself, until it backfired immediately. Tord began interrogating Edd extremely, trying to push the man into confessing things he'd never even done before. Questioning Edd about how excited he gets over getting a kill in a game? It's literally just a video game.
And then Tord started asking about all the locks on the doors, which was only there because they've been burgled a couple of times. Then he asked about what Edd said back when he first arrived, about 'paying something off', to which Matt had to explain that he told Edd to say that because there'd been weirdos in this neighbourhood who'd been trying to con them out of their money.
Then Tom arrived, holding a taped-up box. The silent man held out a box cutter and cut it open, revealing a grey cat inside. Which instantly made Matt and Tord grow increasingly concerned. Especially with that box cutter on the side of the counter.
The situation grew tense, and the air grew heavy as the three waited for Edd to make his move. The man picked up the cat and... Laughed as the grey cat nuzzled him in the face. Phew.
Matt stared at Tom in absolute disbelief for a while. Why the FUCK would he get a cat after knowing what Tord said earlier?! Matt knew Edd would never hurt anyone, let alone a cat, but what the fuck?!
Matt quickly grabbed Tord and dragged him back into the kitchen, with Edd preoccupied with the cat enough to not notice.
"You are so lucky that went well."
Matt spoke with a sneer before slamming Tord against the fridge as he scowled at him.
"I am NOT going to do this for a third time today you pathetic fucking RAT." Matt glared at Tord, gritting his teeth in pure anger before speaking once more. "You better listen and you better listen clearly."
Matt held out a finger as he pointed it at Tord. "For as long as you plan on living here, there is one thing you should know, Tord. I am NEVER wrong."
"I am ALWAYS RIGHT."
