You were literally Herbert's only friend if Dan didn't consider him as a friend. Dan was currently out with his girlfriend and he was home alone so he called you over, not just to help him with his usual experiments but to listen to him complain about Dan and how he had a distaste for his girl, Meg. He's usually never this emotional with anyone other than you but he's been rambling for atleast 20 minutes now, pacing around the front room while you sat down eating the sandwich he made for you along with a cup of juice.

"I-I just can't stand it..."

He rubbed and pinched his temple, pushing up his glasses with his hand on his hip.
