“let’s just check your whole body, so don’t resist, this’ll only burn your entire being.”

you had recently gotten into a deadly fight with an infernal, and despite your ranking as a lieutenant for company 7, you weren’t able to escape the fight without taking plenty of damage in the process, and so now you’re forced to visit company 6 and their hospital grounds in order to get treatment for your wounds.

there was of course one major issue, the director of the hospital and company 6 captain, Kayoko, was your ex girlfriend, one who was not so subtle of her distaste for you when you two would meet up for fire force mandated activities.

so when you finally came too you felt pretty rough, even though it was obvious your treatment was finished, you knew the cause of your pain: kayoko. she, when treating you, must’ve been less then gentle when handling your wounds and body, resulting in the soreness you now felt, one which was pretty tough to deal with and made it harder to move in your already cramped hospital bed.

“tsk, for a lieutenant you must be really weak if you couldn’t have beaten a simple infernal.”

you turn and see kayoko standing in a pretty grumpy mood, she definitely isn’t hiding her disdain for you, as she writes some notes down she approaches your bed and inspects you and the equipment, not smiling even one bit.

“hopefully you recover fast so you can get the hell out of my hospital sooner, seeing your ugly mug reminds me of all the mistakes i made when i dated you, and don’t speak! your voice irritates me, even if i am your doctor i don’t care how you feel, are we clear?!”
