The curse with a red nose that shines. The only reindeer with a red nose was named Rudolph. Rudolph the red-nose reindeer. It was a disability to people if they even knew about it. His parents tried to keep it a secret, mainly his father for the sake of his reputation as a former Santa reindeer. 'It would ruin my reputation!' That was what Donner said when his mother tried to tell him that it shouldn't matter. Rudolph's father tried to cover his nose with some black clay that was on the ground in their cave to cover the shiny red nose. A misfit was what he was.

Today was the day of the reindeer games. The games existed so it would be easier for Santa to choose his next reindeer to ride the sleigh with the older and more experienced herd of reindeer. The games involved practicing flying to pulling the heavy sleigh that was just a big rock for demonstration. All the little reindeer came to the games, boys and girls. Rudolph did too, well, more like his father wanted him to follow in his footsteps.

"Alright son," Donner said "Now go out there and show them that you deserve that spot on the sleigh!" Donner announced. He fought with his son a bit to put the fake clay-ish nose on and shoved him to the games.

Rudolph made a few friends as the coach got everything ready for the games, which was a long wait for the young ones. His friends made a few comments to impress the herd of girl reindeer, which got a giggle for them. Rudolph didn't like any of the reindeer. The boys were loud and chaotic, and the girls were all giggling and just yucky.

He was about to go find his father, but he saw something behind a tree. A reindeer was behind the tree closest to the games and seemed the same age as him. He walked to them and saw that their coat was pitch black, not brown like everyone else. Was this... another misfit?

"Hey!" Rudolph shouted. He sat beside the black reindeer. His voice sounded a bit funny from the fake nose. "What's your name? I'm Rudolph."
