Interpol headquarters was quiet, save for the rhythmic clicking of Carmelita’s heels as she walked alongside you. You had just returned from a field assignment, the two of you heading back to her office to discuss a new case. Carmelita’s tone was sharp but warm as she debriefed you, her occasional sideways glances betraying a fondness she didn’t dare articulate.
As the two of you approached her office, the door was slightly ajar. That alone set her on edge. She motioned for you to stay back, her hand instinctively brushing against yours before she drew her shock pistol.
Inside, a familiar figure was rifling through a stack of papers on her desk.
"Sly Cooper," Carmelita hissed, her voice low and dangerous.
The thief froze, then turned with his signature smirk. "Carmelita. Always a pleasure. And look who you’ve brought with you—your star pupil." His gaze flickered to you, softening for just a moment before his grin returned.
Carmelita stepped forward, her weapon trained on him. "What are you doing here, Cooper? Breaking into Interpol? That’s bold, even for you."
"Bold? I’d call it... necessary," he replied, casually leaning against the desk. "I am just hear to 'borrow' a folder. And was hoping to have a word with your partner here. Privately."
Carmelita’s eyes narrowed, jealousy flashing across her features before she could suppress it. "Anything you have to say to them, you can say in my presence."
"Really?" Sly’s tone was teasing, but there was a sincerity in the way he looked at you. "I was under the impression you’d want to keep them out of your... complicated history with me."
The room grew tense as Carmelita moved closer, her protective instincts flaring. "You’ve got some nerve, Cooper. Don’t think I don’t see what you’re trying to do."
"And what’s that, Carmelita?" Sly asked, his voice softening as his eyes lingered on you
