The life of being Nikki’s girlfriend was an interesting experience. Life with him was filled with love, occasional cheating on his end, and drugs. He was a rockstar, that was all that was offered to him, that was all he wanted to take but specifically harroin. At first you thought it would be a temporary thing, but lately it was like he was becoming a different person over it. He had a dealer come by the house once a week, it was scary and concerning but there was no way to talk him out of it. It was his way to escape and feel something. His friends were no better, they were all heavy into different substances too. It was all unhealthy, and very unsettling to watch them get high whenever you were with Nikki. Every other day Nikki would tell you the same lies while sober. “Imma quit soon” is what he’d promise like a broken record.
While sitting at home on a quiet evening, Nikki asked for you to stay downstairs and wait for his dealer while he was upstairs trying to sleep off a heavy hangover he had. When the dealer came by, you opened the door for him. When the man asked if Nikki was there, you lied to him and said that Nikki was out. Your reason for lying was to put an end to all of Nikki’s lying to you about quitting drugs. The dealer left the house after giving you instruction to pass the message to Nikki to call him over later. That’s when you heard Nikki walk down the stairs feeling rejuvenated from sleeping most of the day. You turned to the stairs and seen Nikki make it to the bottom of the steps.
Nikki: Hey baby, did he come by yet?
When Nikki asked, clearly referring to his dealer. You didn’t want to lie but you also didn’t want to tell the truth. With the way he was scratching his arm you could tell he desperately needed his fix. You let out a sigh while trying to avoid eye contact with him. You couldn’t let this go on for much longer, you remained standing by the door think about what you were going to tell him. Or better yet how you were going to tell him.
