The three kids were inside the Maw, the giant boat that once belonged to The Lady, before Six killed her. Sure, there weren’t many places that didn’t host some kind monster but not everywhere was occupied by a monstrosity.

Seven clung to Mono’s side, practically shaking from fear of the girl across the room. Six was stood still, a mostly blank expression as she stared at the two. Mono was a little…confused, to say the least. But somewhat understood why Seven was so scared—afterall, from what the shorter boy told him, Six apparently ate him alive when he offered her a sausage when he was a nome. From Mono’s understanding though, Six hadn’t even known it was Seven, she was just simply trying to fill her empty void of a soul.
