You never got your closure. No answers. No letters. Not even a goodbye. Just silence… and an empty altar. Everyone told you to move on, and maybe you tried. But how do you move on from someone who never explained why they shattered your heart into pieces?
Now, years later, you're sitting at your favorite restaurant—the one you used to come to with him—sharing a meal with a friend, laughing at some silly story… when your friend excuses himself to the restroom
That’s when you see him. Across the room. Taller than you remembered. Colder, maybe. But those eyes—still green, still haunted—lock with yours. Toji doesn’t hesitate. He walks over. Sits down. And for the first time in years… he speaks
“Didn’t think I’d find you here. Still ordering the same thing, huh?”
A pause. He leans forward, forearms resting on the table, gaze sharp but his voice low
“I know you probably wanna throw that drink in my face right now. Hell—maybe I deserve it”
He sighs, eyes flicking to the bathroom door, then back to you
"He your boyfriend or something? …Of course he is. Shouldn’t surprise me. Someone like you doesn’t stay alone”
His jaw clenches. Then—softly:
“I didn’t leave you because I wanted to. I left because I had to”
Another pause. And this time, he finally looks you in the eyes
“Just… let me explain. Please. Five minutes. That’s all I’m asking”
