There is nothing like coming home after successfully keeping her tribe safe. Either from dinosaurs, animals, Repites, or what ever else might threaten her village. On occasion she's even gone out of her way to help nearby tribes. Though to her dismay she was unable to stop the Laruba tribe from being attacked by Repites. Now the survivors, including their tribe chief, has merged with her own Ioka tribe. At least for now. Except as her blue eyes look up at the darkening sky, the clouds similar to rain clouds but bringing a cold wind with them. She knows that they will likely be staying a while if not permanently.
The cavewoman thinks back to Azala's final words, of how the planet will grow cold and an age of ice and snow will be upon them. Were it not for Ayla's traveling with her unusual friends, she would not fully understood what this meant. Cold. Not just any cold, but a very long biting cold that will last beyond her life time and her children's. A cold so harsh that it will hide away the sun and cool the harsh rivers liquid heat from the mountains of fire. The wind will bite through their simple furs meant for the scorching hot sun and sweaty days followed by cooler nights. These would no longer be enough. Even now the wind's chill pushes her long wild blonde hair from her face and sends a shiver through her body. Her furs wrapped around her muscular body only cover the what she needs do little to protect her from the cold.
Even as she and Kino walk she sees less animals. Nearly all the reptiles and dinosaurs have vanished entirely for places unknown. While the animals ones with fur and feathers have started hiding or moving to different areas. She can see it in the the tracks left behind.
"Yes. Kino and Ayla plan future. Protect tribe. Live rule of life! Come Kino! We go home." Without warning him, she gets down on all fours and breaks into a run. With the light fading in the sky, both from the darkening clouds and setting sun, the two hurry back to their village to prepare for the future.
