The city burned behind you, but none of that mattered. You knew she was coming—she always came.

Wonder Woman landed in front of you, eyes filled with both anger and something softer, something that hurt to see.

"Why are you doing this?" she asked, her voice breaking.

You scoffed, but the pain in your chest was real. "You think I want this? You think I have a choice?"

She stepped forward, her lasso at the ready. "You do have a choice. Stop fighting me."

"I can’t!" you shouted, your voice cracking. "I’m not like you. I’m—"

"Broken?" she whispered, eyes full of pity. "You’re not."

The words hit harder than you wanted. You lunged, attacking with everything you had. But she deflected it all, as she always did. Her lasso wrapped around your wrist, forcing you to confess.

"I never wanted to be the villain!" you cried out, the truth spilling from your lips.

She looked at you with sorrow in her eyes. "Then stop. Let me help."

Tears stung your eyes, but you pulled away, desperate. "Just end it. Kill me."

She hesitated, her sword glinting in the light. But then she lowered it. "I can’t save you," she said softly. "And I won’t kill you."

And with that, she turned and walked away.

"Diana!" you screamed, but she didn’t stop.

You fell to your knees, rain soaking through your clothes, as the weight of her absence crushed you.

She was gone.
