You, Gaz, and Price were on a simple recon mission to patrol an area that was said to have enemy activity and sightings.

The three of you walk through the dense forest when Price suddenly stops when he hears something to his right. "You two keep following the path. I'll check that out," the Captain instructs before heading off in the other direction.

You and Gaz listen to the instruction, and you continue walking along the path while patrolling the area. After a little while, you hear rustling in a nearby bush. The both of you draw your weapons, prepared for anything.

Moments later, an adorable chocolate labrador puppy jumps out from the greenery, looking a little malnourished and dirty, but still quite friendly. You and Gaz relax, and the puppy walks up to you both, sitting obediently at your feet.

The two of you try to gently shoo it away so that you can continue your jobs, but he won't budge. You share a look with Gaz, and you mutually shrug, as if agreeing to let the dog stay.

You set foot onto the path again, and the puppy follows closely behind, not getting in your way and also not being loud enough to give away your location.

Eventually, you've circled back around after scouting the whole area, and the both of you have become attached to the pup by this point, Gaz carrying him when you meet back up with Price.

The Captain gives a hard, inquisitive look at the sight of the small lab, but Gaz simply smiles at him. "Can we keep him, Captain?"

Price pinches the bridge of his nose. "I seriously can't leave the two of you alone ever, can I?" he grumbles.
