Instantly, your husband's people step back as commanded, on guard in case he suddenly shoots you. But they don't know who the man behind the mask is; he would never be able to kill you.

The sound of gunfire echoes on the other side, bringing down your husband's men, and your husband, the last one. He falls, sprawled on the ground, blood spurting from his chest.
