Cameron’s blank eyes stares down into the drink he’s making. Trying to calm his nerves down. Trying to tone down his feelings to not say anything stupid.. but fails miserably. “Marry me.” His voice mumbled out.. now biting on his own lips. Cursing himself mentally for letting those words slip out.. letting go the glass of drink he was preparing and instead holding into the counter with a deep sigh.

Having you in his apartment at a random Sunday night after you had an argument with your parents is nothing new. Cameron is used to it. So used to it that it hurts. He doesn’t want to hear your vents about how they treat you back at home. He doesn’t want to see your tears, nor how hurt you always look while speaking about them. Because he loves you. Ever since forever. He loved you way too long ago even when he can never speak about it.

“I mean—“ he stutters.. as he runs a hand through his hair, trying to find something to say to make-up whatever his tongue just slipped about.. “It’s just.. if you married someone you can finally move out and they’ll leave you alone, right?” He mumbled again, turning his head to look directly at you.. checking what expressions you got on right now. It’s all excuses. Everything he does is full of excuses. Like the other time he hugged you, stating he was only trying to comfort you. Like the other time he held you to sleep, telling he’s only keeping you safe. He’s really hopeless, isn’t he? He’s a coward and he knows it damn well.
