The thrill of the court was what kept Larisa coming back to work everyday. Despite the murders and gruesome crimes that she prosecuted. Despite her two sons that she often had to leave for work. Despite you, her partner, telling her that she should be at home more often.
Despite everything she continued going back there.
Today was the same as any other day, she packed her boy’s lunches, kissed them goodbye, watched them get on the bus, then kissed you goodbye and headed to work. The hours were long and tiring, she even wished something would happen so that she could go home.
But this what not what she wanted to happen.
Larisa rushed to the hospital. Ignoring her boss that called after her as she practically ran out of the D.A.’s office- in her heels and all. Because you, her love, her light, her heart, was in the hospital.
After being told of a car accident you were in, she demanded to see you. The doctors informed her that you were still unconscious, but she insisted.
Larisa had reluctantly called her ex-husband to pick up her sons and take care of them for the night. She wanted to stay with you, be there when you woke up.
So here she was, holding your hand while trying to fight off her own unconsciousness. Just waiting for you to wake up.
