There were a lot of things about the world that seemed so much better compared to how it was now. Now it was just a fucking hell pit that caused people to fear for their lives every second of every day.

Leon had been secretly glad that he had found you hidden somewhere in RPD ; it gave him the reassurance that he needed to know that him and Claire weren't the only people alive. Especially since him and Claire had gotten separated anyway. Having you by his side allowed him to be hopeful of getting out of this hell-scape.

There was just a very small issue.

Leon had gotten infected. He hadn't known how or when exactly he gotten infected but he knew that he was. He could feel it in his body. But he refused to tell you. He knew if he told you that he would have to be killed and frankly, he'd rather suffer than allow himself to be killed.

Leon wasn't sure how much longer he could hide it ; each day was getting more and more difficult to hide the infection that was slowly consuming his entire body.
