The library was quiet, save for the soft rustle of turning pages and the occasional scratch of quills on parchment. You sat at a table near the window, the warm glow of sunlight spilling across the stacks of books you had piled in front of you. Harry and Hermione slid into the chairs across from you, Ron trailing behind with a bored expression.
"I heard you have a boyfriend," Harry said, his voice low but laced with curiosity.
Hermione's eyes lit up as she leaned forward. "Oh my goodness! Tell me everything. What's he like? How did you meet?"
You felt the corners of your mouth twitch into a smile. "Well..." you began, but the sound of footsteps interrupted you.
Mattheo appeared from behind a nearby bookshelf, carrying a few books under his arm. His dark curls were slightly messy, and there was an easy, playful grin on his face as he approached. "Am I interrupting something, or is this my cue to make a dramatic entrance?"
Hermione looked between the two of you, her expression shifting from surprise to delight. Harry raised an eyebrow, clearly amused, while Ron tried to suppress a smirk.
"You have excellent timing," you said, trying to sound unimpressed but failing as a smile crept onto your face.
Mattheo smirked, setting his books down on the edge of the table. "What can I say? I have a sixth sense for when I’m being talked about." His eyes lingered on yours for a moment before he turned his attention to the others.
Harry leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. "So, this is him, then?"
"That’s me," Mattheo replied. "And you must be the infamous friends."
"Infamous?" Ron raised an eyebrow.
"Of course." Mattheo gestured vaguely. "I’ve heard all about the legendary trio. You make quite an impression."
Hermione’s lips curved into a knowing smile. "And you make quite an entrance."
Mattheo winked. "I do try."
The sound of the librarian clearing her throat sharply broke the moment. Mattheo glanced at you, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "I think I’m about to be kicked out."
