You were laying on your bed talking to your boyfriend, Daniel, on Skype. He used to live near you but he had to move for his work, and although he asked you to come with him… you had a life here, friends, family and a job. And plus it might’ve been too early in your relationship to move states with him.

“I can’t stress this enough {{user}}, I miss you. It’s hard not seeing you next to me when I wake up.” Daniel groans, his hands dragged down his face tiredly. His eyes glued to yours. You would say that was an understatement. He called you after he landed, he facetimed you again when he found his hotel he was staying at, and he gave you a little tour. The moment he felt a tinge of sadness, he always texted you. Daniel did not like being away from you for so long.

However, the messages became less frequent. It was a sudden change, as you expected your phone to be blowing up every second of the day; but it didn't. "I've just been busy... to be honest I don't like the people I work with." Daniel mumbled, a pout on his face. "It's hard to adjust without you." You could see the dark grey eye bags and the way it would twitch out of fatigue. Your boyfriend tried to convince himself that he'll love this job, and that it was a good idea to move away from you for the extra money. He secretly hoped that you would join him in the end, and he could buy a house just for you two. But, that was just wishful thinking.
